Radiohead : Hail to the Theif - Intetersting album, much like all Radiohead CD's. Not a single 'commercial' song on the CD. THese guys are about the music, and it seems their love for electronics is here forever.
Britney Spears : In the Zone - The production on this album is interesting. Her voice still sounds like 'still a girl, not yet a woman". It's one of those CD's where you know the videos have to be Bling Bling in order to warrant repeated listening. Interesting choice of producers.
CHingy : Jackpot - Like a lot of CD's these days, the albums are made after the 2-3 hit singles are produced. THe hits are nice (right thurr), the rest is just thurr.
Ludicris : CHicken and Beer - THe title doesn't do much for the civil rights struggle & stereotypes, but the CD has 3 bangers on it. Again it seems like the real effort goes into 3 songs, while the rest just kind of 'get made'.
Yeah YEah Yeah's :Fever To Tell - 'Map's' is the song that drew me into these guys. DOn't you hate it when the name of the song has NOTHING to do with the content. Still this is one of the best CD's I've hear so far in 2004. Simple alternative rock, not over produced like most music today, and female vocals full of aingst always get me! CHeck it out. These guys have a bass player :-)
Bic RUnga : Beautiful collision - Light n breezy is the best way to describe this one. ITs all over the map as far as style. Nice productions and a really seet voice. I love the female vocalists!
Joss STone - NIce voice. THis is almost like listening to a demo really. THing I like about her is that she lets the song come to her. I get so tired of the 'chruch nonsense' you hear in every song now. Vocal tricks, octave shifts. All not needed. Just sing the song with some conviction. As far as the sound of the album I really don't like it. I prefer studio sounding records than live band one's, but depsite that this is a nice set to listen to. Her remake of the WHite Stripes "Fell in Love with a girl" really is a testament to how good a writers they are. She sings the song with feeling, you can understand every word (now lol!), and leaves the vocal theatrics to American Idol contestants. Recommended.
Twista : Kamikazee - Nice variety of beats on this cd. Not exactly the kind of cd you want to listen too if you love your mom and repsect owmen, but Twista has a style that is unique to his own. If you can handle it for a whole cd than I recommened scooping this one up. Overnight Celebrity is a classic already, and the video also features extra cute & tanlented violinist Miri Ben-Ari.
Timbaland & Magoo : Under Construction 2 - I have high regards for Timbaland as a producer, he has (and continues) to make some pretty inovative singles. Full Albums aren't really his stronghold, but that's not really his (and other producers) fault. WHen your hot people will take ANYTHING you make, so it's easy to spread yourself to thin. He seems bitter about not recieving due credit and constantly makes reference to his 'beats' being stolen the day they come out. I hope he forgets about all that nonsense and just continues to make hot ass singles. I still remember the first time I heard "One in a Million" by Alliyah (the single) and was truly amazed at the effort put into it. OVerall and average CD.
Miquel Migs : Nude Tempo dj mix - 2 words. Smooth shit!
Sarah McLachlan : afterglow - Nice breezy CD. Made me want to moisturize my face or something. She's a class act and her cd's always have that calm cool feel to it. CHeck it out.
Jay-Z : Black album - TO me all of JAy-Z's cd;s sound the same. It's not a bad thing of course, but you know what your going to get (unlike outkast or someone like that). The retirement talk is ridiculous, there's no reason why he shoudln't be dropping cd's 1 or 2 times a year. Overall a good album. Hope he get's with some different producers next time round.
alicia keys - dairy of A Keys - I liked this one 300 times more than her first record. Best way to describe it is some nice smooth as shit. It gets off to a ruff start but after "you don't know my name" it's really nice listening. Past n present mixed together
Seal 4 - As usual Seal drops a quality CD. I know his overcompressed sound can be hard to take in large quantities, but his voice is always front and center. Inspirational and highly listenable is the way I'd describe it. Each record gets better and better.
Kanye West : College dropout - exceptional CD. With so much junk rap out now it's refreshing to hear a cd minus the 1,232,323 "I sell drugs, I got ho's, my rims are bigger' releases out there. Nice listening, nice beats.
Usher : Confessions - No different than any of his other CD's. Quality work, and enough music producers & engineers to keep you reading the credits for a good hour lol.
Kodak CX7330: Overall a good entry level camera. Takes great color photo's and with a 512MB sd card you get 500 pictures of max quality. It's extremely easy to use (I brought my mother one and she has no problem suing it) and with XP you do not have to install their software to get your photo's and movies of the camera. Battery life is average depending on how much flash you use and how often you use the lcd screen. If you want the battery to last long on any digital camera get used to shooting thru the viewer just like you did for your film camera. Those LCD's take a lot of jiuce.

The setbacks to this camera is that you cannot change any of the settings that will allow you to fine tune your pictures or improve the quality of the pictures on it's best settings. Kodak desgined this camera thinking you don't want to think about what they thought of to make a digital camera.....in other words it's digital photography for dummies. For casual picture taking this is not a issue at all. SInce most people make their picture veiwing programs fit the entire image on the monitor, you will have crisp and clean photos (as you will see below). WHen viewed this way they look very clear, very detailed, and very colorful. It takes stunning outdoor pictures, and the the prints it makes are very nice.

It's when you start to move up on the detail tree you will start to notice problems. WHen you view the pictures actual size you can see where kodak went nuts with the jpeg compression. THis will reflect in prints you want to print out. There is noticable jpeg compression noise on the pictures when you veiw them actual size when taken on the max setting 2032 x 1524. Kodak set the compression ratio to high. Branches on trees or blades of grass will be a blur, and indoor photo's without sunlight start to suck. Shame they didn't include a firmware option to change the compression ratios. Also you better snap at least 2 takes of those phot's you know you want to come out nice because a lot of the pics will come out blurry, and I hold the camera as still as possible a couple second after I press the shutter button.

So if your looking for good detail in your pictures you might want to up the $$ and get a model with more mojo and MP (a next level Kodak, Canon, Nikon, Minolta, ect). The color on this camera is really great, it takes nice daylight photos. It has a very strong flash, but that doesn't help when you lose detail due to poor focusing and over jpeg compression. THe movie mode is nice, writes quicktime movies with sound, as big as you memory card will allow.

ALWAYS WATCH n BUY MOVIES IN WIDESCREEN FORMAT! NUFF SAID!
Another 4 years of Bush. Only in America!
I'm watching the Revenge of the Sith documentary disc. They are talking about the motivations of the characters in the Star Wars films as if these people (and puppets lol) are in a Martin Scorsese / SPike Lee / Francis Ford Copolla film written by Charlie Kaufman & Mario Puzo. It's a cartoon movie man. Nothing more. Still nothing beats those Star Wars dvd's for the best in film documentary.
Am I the only one who cant' stand all this rebate bullshit with every single electronic device you can ever buy. You frikkin rebate it circuit city, best buy, tiger direct and sell me at cost!
Plasma tvs are nice, but who's going to pay $1500 to $2400 for a TV?
Fiona Apple's Extrodinary Machine (retail copy). If today's labels cared about the quality of the music they released that would trickle down to the listeners and a cd like this would be worshipped like the days of the beatles, marvin gaye, ect. The worse thing to happen to music is music video's, hands down. That and the terrible way labels treat musicians. I guess they are getting that ass spanked now thru mp3's, downloads and i-everything.
$399 for a xbox 360. I'll get one in 2008!! Who pays $399 for a video game system?
Family guy. The shit they will do. This along with Doctor Who has to be a real treat for fans. 2 shows that survived cancellation to come back just as strong (in family guy's case even stronger) as before. Now if they would only bring Angel back for that last season it deserved.
These American car companies sure are cutting a lot of jobs and closing a lot of factories. I never understood why they have not learned first you build an engine that will run forever, THEN put the body on it. You can fool americans for a long time but eventually the glitter and rebates run out. Everyone I know with a Honda, Nissan or Toyota never have ANY problems with their cars. Even some of the other car companies like BMW realise it's ridiculous that consumers have to pay to keep their cars running. Have you ever had to get a timing belt replaced? Almost $1000 to replace a part they know will go out. TImes will change. Folks need to get from point a to point b without having to take their car to the shop every month. My 15 year old Honda prelude (have you seen the 2006 civic's? That SI makes me drool) runs smooth like mayonaise with 95,000 miles on it. Amazing. Honestly I don't know why a person who values their money would buy an american car unless it was import sponsered like Mazda. Hope they get there act together cuz that's a lot of lost jobs.
RIP Richard Pryor. NO one could make my ribs hurt like you did.
24 with bobby lee on mad tv. Funny shit.
Underworld Evolution Jan 20th. Can't wait.
New dr who coming soon. David Tennant looks like a good choice.
When you diss walmart you diss yourself.

Watched the final four episodes of arrested development. The way they wrapped it up suggests that this is the last of the Bluth's we'll see. What a shitfuck pity. I haven't been this interested in a TV show in awhile. I can't remember a show where I actually remember the full casts show names. I guess with the current Nielsen ratings shows that 'just get by' like Smallville will run for 6 to 8 seasons while shows push the envelope like Arrested Development will barely squeeze out 2 1/2 seasons. 13 episodes for season 3 are just sad, but I'll take it. FOX actually did everything they could to get people to watch this show. It seems the millions of people who do watch it come out and buy the season dvd's but can't sit thru American Idol or the OC to get to the Bluth's. It's a shame because I know the season DVD have sold like hotcakes, there is a audience for this kind of show, just not regular cable I guess. There is talk about the show going to showtime but nothing has been announced. I'm glad I took a chance on this show. Season 3 on dvd will be the icing on something I can go back to many many times.

My favorite Arrested Development quirks and props (i could go on and on):

  • Tobias. Comic Genius.
  • Henry Winkler as the Bluth's attorney. Funny guy.
  • Scot Baio as the Bluth's replacement attorney Bob Loblaw. Everytime I hear it said I laugh.
  • A TV daughter named Maeby. One look at her 'parents' and the joke is even funnier.
  • I had no idea Portia De Rossi could be so cute (not hot, but really really cute) and so funny.
  • Justine Bateman's spot on the show, very funny.
  • Gob's "C' Mon!'
  • Gob's boat name the "c-word"
  • Tobias Blue Man Group bits.
  • Maeby's secret job.
  • The company stair car
  • Not afraid to tackle any subject for laughs. Even Incest. Lot's of Incest lol.
  • Michael & George Michael Bluth's Playing it as straight made everyone around them even funnier.
  • The writers of this show. THis is what lots of money and ideas is suppose to produce.
  • Ron Howard. His movies are ok, but his production sense is spot on (responsible for 24 & arrested development)
  • The Arrested Development Cast - when y ou watch this show you get the sense that everyone LOVES what they are doing and are professional enough to take what the writers have written and make it work on screen. I mean who ever paid attention to Jason Bateman before this show? I couldn't imagine anyone else but him as Michael.
either. Gotta love these car commercials. With all the Michael Bay 125mph looking speed they simulate in the commercials they really make the cars look appealing. When you get you rocket home from the dealership you can hit the road and go 25mph in your block, 45mph on your way to walmart & 65mph on the expressway LOL. And another thing.........you pay or rather finance a Honda, Toyota or other car for $20,000. Now they know the timing belts go after 90,000 miles or so. Why do YOU have to pay for something that basically renders your engine useless. They know it's going to snap.
Firefox. Me likes. I've used Internet explorer for a long time. WIth the kind of work I do tabbed panels was needed so I tried Mozila FIrefox. #1 I can't beleive it's less than 5 megabytes to download. Do you know how HUGE internet explorer is just to run. After initial setup and grabbing google toolbar I was rady to go. It imports all your internet explorer settings and it's laid out really nice. Microsoft has always been bloatware that works, but when your running 5 production programs at once you need to trim the fat unless you have 4 gigs or RAM. Nice program. If the screen shakes when looking at web pages after installing google toolbar just go here.
SO far so good with the new season of Doctor Who with David Tennant as the Doctor. Replacing the amazing job Christopher Eccleston did was a hard call but this new Doc has it down. HE can be silly or dead serious. Seeing Elizabeth Sladen (wow does she look good, and what a great actress) back along with K9 was really touching. It seems this season is leaving out the 'producer with the alternative lifestyle agenda' mode and is really getting into another dimension of the whole time travel thing and it's consequences. That was my only complaint about last years season. I get the producer is gay, but don't throw it in the mix of a TV show just cuz you can. Maybe that's why Ecclestom left. 4 episodes in and I can't wait for the reamining 8. Nice job! Doctor Who Lives. And make Giles the new MASTER!
Only in america can people who reside here illgally get in the streets and march without fear of being shot or arrested. Amazing. I'm really neutral on the subject simply becasue they are hear becasue they were encouraged nad alowed to come. That is the root of the problem. Good luck fixing that shit ha ha!! As I think about it, who come modern day black folk (we'z legal ya'll) don't get all politKAL like this. Start demanding better school systems and fair property value reform. Illegals can do it, so what's our excuse? NBA Playoff's? New Diplomats mixtape? Man I tell you.
I was reading some magazine's 50 worst things to happen to music list. If you ask me the #1 thing to riun music was MTV nd music videos. Now you got to look like a fitness trainer to be considered a bonified music star. You don't have to be able to play 1 note, or know how to write songs. Just hold a tone, flex those abbs and ass and boom. Imagine Janis Joplin, Curtis Mayfield or some other average looking genious musician trying to make it today. What's even more funny is that music has become so disposable that MTV (and vh1) don't even play MUSIC videos anymore. Sad. Thank god for mp3's, mp3 players, and huge hard drives.
Myspace. Lord have mercy. It's not only a major music networking site but it's also is a respectable meat market! Where else can you listen to tunes while vewing a girls latest lower back tattoo. God bless the web. You can get to my myspace pages here. Enjoy it while it lasts, I'm sure the lawsuits and major label ass kissing will follow soon, just like mp3.com. Just added a tagworld page here.
restless leg syndrome? C'mon man......FUNK DAT!!!! ............................GET A NEW DOCTOR!!!!!!

Top movies n tv of 2005. Keep in mind that I haven't really been going to the theaters that much

So White Sox player Joe Crede has 'agreed' to a 1 year 2.6 million dollar contract. Let's see....if you made $30,000 a year he could pay your salary for like 70 years and still have money to invest in a good dry cleaners business on the side. must be nice.
Saw the trailer for this movie called Something New. It's one of those race relation movies that as usual is about 10 years behind the times. I know white guys that ONLY date black girls, and black girls that ONLY date white guys. That's what turns them on. Gets the juices flowing in the crotch. Amen to that! Hell my ex wife was Bulgarian. Hollywood.....no wonder people are bypassing the theaters lol. Look at the garbage they put out. Now if I could only find a nice german woman to watch sunsets with.....

Boondocks. I don't think there has been a tv show that speaks about the real truths about the african american lifestyle. The Martin Luther King episode was extraordinary. I don't think the show is 'funny' at all. I think it's really smart television that is a lot more than it appears to be being broadcast on the Cartoon Network. Any 'brotha' or 'sista' who gets offended by it probably has the eyes closed while watching it. I'm amazed something like this is on TV. Should have been a BET exclusive show but hey, you know what passes for entertainment on that channel.

rip Coretta Scott King, Wilson Pickett & Lou Rawls

Exxon made 36 billion in 2005. So what's in your wallet?
More priests, more bad news. I hear every excuse in the book for their behavior but for me it only comes down to 1 thing. Let these guys (and nun girls) have all the sex they want. To me it's like a prison effect. You will find attraction in what you surround yourself with no matter what that might be, your hand, boys, male ass, sheep. You gotta be allowed to 'hit it; even if your a man of God and the cloth. How come no one ever mentions this in the commentaries I hear. It's so simple. Religion needs to get with the times.
'They' say the USA economy is doing better because unemployment is down? Have you seen what the average americans monthly pay check is vs the mountain of bills you get each month? How do you feel knowing a baseball player makes what takes you a whole year to make in a couple days. Uneven.....yeah. Better.....no. Average Salaries need to come way up here in the United States. Everyone I know is a paycheck away from being flat broke. Not good. Statistics show NO ONE can save money anymore. Sad. After expenses and taxes........well you can get some candy at walmart.
'They'I'm just a casual football fan, but even I could see the fix was in for Pittsburg. Yuck.
All that money they waste on those expensive superbowl ads. It's like watching a film school demo reel because the last thing you think about is the product they are trying to sell. In fact when I look at all the money that is being tossed around not just for the ads, but also the superbowl teams, owners, venues, the Stones, ect. We cheer these guys on and when they win the act like they have acheived something meaningful in life, but again I ask...what's in your wallet?

To all you struggling black actresses out there. How does it feel to see Beyonce snag movie leads when she acts about as good as a Twinkie wrapper? That sucks. Helluva singer and hot like liquid flame but c' mon. Pink Panther remake made just enough money to ensure she'll be starring in another movie real soon.
Toughest maze game I've ever played. Cool sound effects too once you get going. http://www.winterrowd.com/maze.swf
It's kind of creepy that cheney and his millionaire freinds take time off from sending young men and women to senseless deaths by shooting birds....and each other!.
Someone emailed me wanting to know wnat songs do I sing when no one can hear me ha! Well....Flashdance, Song to the Siren, Save me (remy zero), Bunnies (from Buffy's 'once more with feeling' episode), Maria (west side story), Under Pressure (Queen n Bowie), constant craving (kd lang), Knocking on Heavens door (Dylan's original), Say a little Prayer (Aretha n Dione), My Imomortal, Maps (yeah yeah yeah's)....
Gotta love these polls they do. They have polls for everything. President approval polls . Vice President accidently shooting a guy poll. Should I wear my black or brown jacket today poll. They don't change a thing. Never will. I guess it gives we americans a sense of security that somehow we are in charge of our lives.
The Olympics. I think it's funny that the only time the world's countries can come together to do something in unison is to compete in a bunch of crazy sports.
FOX's HOUSE. Even the 'romance' is good (mmmmm sela ward). First drama show I can watch repeat episodes of. Bones ain't bad either.
